Thought of the day
I did not think this one through.
I just finished my three-month-long fitness challenge, and guess what I am doing tomorrow?
Here's a visual clue:
I am getting an inner beauty exam, also known as a colonoscopy, on Monday morning.
So let's do some math.
Stick to a very strict diet for three months that ended last Thursday.
Celebrate with a pizza on Thursday night.
Eat leftover pizza all day Friday.
Celebrate with another pizza on Saturday.
Enjoy a liquid diet all day Sunday.
Good times.
You lied to me, Jack Black.

You poor thing! I feel for you so much! I'm not being sarcastic, it just sounds that way when written out. The very worse part for me was that concoction they make you drink. I threw up my first glass. I figured out that ice made it go down smoother. If there is a next time for me, I'll be sleeping on the toilet.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deedles. Lots of toilet time for sure.
DeleteColonoscopy prep=not fun. But at least you'll be all cleaned out and won't poop for a couple days. Is this your first one?
ReplyDeleteSecond.
DeleteTomorrow's post might be entertaining if you "hold on to" anesthesia like I do! Good that you're getting it done!
ReplyDeleteI was definitely not as loopy this time.
DeleteAn "inner beauty exam," hahahahaha! I've never heard a colonoscopy called that before! I would say "Enjoy!" but that's just cruel.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debra.
DeleteOh no, hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteAll went well.
DeleteIt takes work to look beautiful on the inside ... of your colon.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does.
DeleteAs your tag line says "you will persevere." The worst part is the prep.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, it was no big deal this time.
DeleteThat HAS become much less traumatic, hasn't it?
DeleteHuntleyBiGuy :
ReplyDeleteI feel for you. Mine is scheduled for Wednesday 😕
Hope everything went well, HuntleyBiGuy.
DeleteI had mine last year. I honestly didn't think it was as bad as everyone makes it out to be. But man that cheesesteak hoagie I had an hour after discharge certainly tasted great!
ReplyDeleteThis time around it was pretty smooth sailing and I really enjoyed some pancakes after I was done.
DeleteIronically, I just scheduled mine today for later in the summer. When she was reading me a list of all the foods to not eat a week beforehand, I was thinking that those were all the foods that I eat in a normal day. So, I guess it's processed junk food for the week prior!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those foods while you can.
DeleteI've never had one, so I do NOT envy you :)
ReplyDeleteIf you don't need it then don't bother.
